Flight Panels Announces X-Plane Expansion
The leading developer of Stream Deck profiles launches its first X-Plane products, bringing physical cockpit controls to a new simulator platform for the first time.
Belfast, United Kingdom – March 19th - Flight Panels, the developer behind more than 80 Stream Deck profiles for Microsoft Flight Simulator, today announced its expansion into X-Plane with the launch of dedicated cockpit profiles for the platform.
The move marks the first time the company’s products will be available outside the Microsoft Flight Simulator ecosystem, opening the door to thousands of X-Plane pilots seeking a more immersive way to interact with their virtual cockpits.
Flight Panels transforms Elgato Stream Deck devices into functional cockpit panels, giving pilots physical buttons, rotary dials, and LCD touchscreens to control switches, systems, and instruments without reaching for a keyboard or mouse. The result is a more tactile, realistic flying experience that bridges the gap between desktop simulation and professional-style cockpit interaction.
“We’ve spent three years perfecting our craft for Microsoft Flight Simulator, building profiles for aircraft from PMDG, iniBuilds, Aerosoft, Fenix Simulations, and many more. Expanding into X-Plane gives us an incredibly exciting opportunity to bring what we’ve built to a whole new community of pilots who share our passion for immersive flight.” said Richard Kennedy, Founder of Flight Panels.
“X-Plane has always been a platform built on adaptability and user customisation, empowering pilots to make the experience their own. A collaboration with Flight Panels felt like a natural fit. Now, X-Plane customers looking for deeper immersion have a powerful new tool at their fingertips.” said Dellanie Byron, Community Manager at Laminar Research.
Flight Panels will release Aircraft and Autopilot profiles for both the X-Plane Cessna 172 and Zibo Boeing 737 before the end of March 2026. Aircraft profiles include 15-key and 32-key layouts, compatible with the Stream Deck XL, MK.2, Stream Deck Mobile, and the Corsair Xeneon Edge. Autopilot profiles will be available for the Stream Deck +. All profiles will be available from the Flight Panels Store and select third-party marketplaces.
